Caring for Your Bouquets

  1. Fill a clean vessel (vase, jar, jug, teapot!) with fresh water
  2. Cut stems on a diagonal about 2.5 cm from the base of the stem
  3. Remove lower foliage to reduce bacterial contamination of water
  4. Cut stems and change water every 1-2 days
  5. Keep flowers in a cool area away from fans, heat sources, or direct sunlight
  6. Avoid placing cut flowers near sources of ethylene gas (e.g. fruit such as apples)
  7. Remove wilted flowers and change out vase to suit size of bouquet
